Accountify — mobile accounting & GST for India.

Accountify is a mobile accounting and GST application for businesses in India. This policy explains what information the app collects, why, and how it is handled.

1. Information We Collect

Account information — when you sign in, our authentication provider (Clerk) processes your name, email address, and/or phone number to identify your account.
Financial documents and images — bills, receipts, invoices, and other documents you capture with your camera or upload from your photo library, along with your business logo.
GST and transaction data — GSTINs, party (customer and supplier) details, vouchers, ledgers, reports, and related accounting records you create or that are extracted from your documents.

2. How We Use Your Information

To provide the accounting and GST features of the app.
To extract fields from the documents you capture (AI is used only to read invoice fields; all tax and money calculations are performed by a deterministic engine).
To deliver reminders and compliance notifications you have enabled.
To provide customer support and to diagnose crashes and errors.

3. Service Providers (Processors)

We share data only with the providers needed to run the service:

Clerk — authentication and account identity.
Razorpay — payment processing.
Sentry — crash and error diagnostics.
Meta (WhatsApp) — optional document capture and messaging when you connect a WhatsApp number.
Hosting and object storage — our cloud hosting and storage providers host the application and store your documents.

4. Data Retention

Your accounting records and documents are retained for as long as your account is active, so your books remain available to you. Diagnostic telemetry is retained only for a limited window. When you delete a company or your account, the associated data is removed as described below.

5. Your Rights and Account Deletion

You can permanently delete your account and all of its data from within the app at any time (Settings → Delete Account). This erases your account, every company you own, and all associated vouchers, parties, documents, and reports, and removes your authentication identity. This action cannot be undone.
